Winlink/Winmor radio to computer interfacing help session

After the Chew & Chat on December 16th we will host a Winlink/Winmor radio to computer interfacing help session. If you are having difficulties setting up your radio and computer to do Winlink/Winmor over the air we will try to help. Bring your radio and laptop computer, interface boxes and cables. We will have power supplies and dummy loads.

WCARES License classes

WCARES will again be hosting classes for Technician and General Class amateur radio licenses.

Classes will be held over 5 Saturdays, starting February 3, 2018 at the Williamson County Public Safety Building at 304 Beasley Drive, Franklin, in rooms 133/134.

Classes will be held on Saturday February 3, 10, 17 and 24 and March 3.

The Technician license classes will run from 9 AM to 12 noon.

The General license classes will run from 8 AM to 12 noon.

There will be a license exam session the following Saturday, March 10 at Crieve Hall Church of Christ – see http://www.NashvilleVETeam.org/ for more information.

Chew and Chat

WCARES Chew & Chat meeting at the Williamson County Public Safety Building, located at:

304 Beasley Drive in Franklin, TN.

Meeting starts at 8AM in the EOC.  Members periodically give presentations covering a wide range topics including emergency communications,  propagation and antennas, operating techniques and best-practices, kit building, hardware and software, Winlink, weather, ARRL, new modes and more.  Upcoming events are also discussed.

Meet other WCARES members and learn more about WCARES and Amateur Radio.

Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1 pm to 2 pm Central after the Chew & Chat

WCARES Winlink Training with ICS-213 Home Exercise II will take place on Saturday, February the 17th between 1pm and 2pm (after the next Chew & Chat). It will run one hour instead of two.
