Amateur Radio Experience and Interests
I’ve been an active member of WCARES since relocating to Middle Tennessee in 2017. I was in touch with Jack Cox even before we moved here and knew I would be at home with WCARES. Served as Chair of the WCARES Exercise Committee for 2022 and am an active member of the Net Control team.
I am very interested in the Public Service aspect of amateur radio and have been a radio operator at many events most memorably the 2016 and 2017 Boston Marathons and a FEMA observed exercise for a nuclear power plant. I am also a Reserve for the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency. I believe that our capabilities as licensed amateur radio operators provide an important resource to support our community especially in times of need.
